We use Brevo as our email service provider. By submitting your email address or subscribing to our newsletter/waitlist, you acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to Brevo for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
If you choose to connect Spectacl.org with third-party services, we may share data as necessary to enable those integrations. Data shared is limited to what is required to provide the requested functionality.
Spectacl uses Google's favicon service (www.google.com/s2/favicons) to display company logos and favicons in the interface. When a logo is shown for a domain (e.g. a competitor or cited source), your browser makes a request directly to Google's servers to retrieve that image.
This means Google may receive the domain name being looked up and standard browser metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of that request. Spectacl does not share any personally identifiable information with Google through this mechanism, only the domain name of the company being displayed.
Domain-to-logo mappings are cached in Spectacl's database for up to 30 days to minimise the number of requests made to Google's service.
